My Saucepan is an independent service (“we”). By creating an account or using My Saucepan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions: o.giesecke@gmail.com.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. One person per account. You need to be at least 13 years old.

Free use, trials and subscriptions

A free account can keep and cook from its saved recipes, including the ten starter recipes, and use menus, sharing and backups.
A subscription costs $1 a month or $10 a year, charged in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded for partly used periods, except where the law requires it.
Launch-offer and friend-referral access is free for the stated period, needs no card and never turns into a paid plan by itself.
Recipe discovery and imports include 40 searches and 60 imports in any 30 days. We may change prices or allowances for future periods with notice by email.

Your recipes and other content

What you add stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run the service for you — for example to scale a recipe, make a PDF you ask for, or send a page to our AI provider when you import it. Only add content you have the right to use. Recipes you import from other sites or books remain their authors’ work: keep them for your own cooking, and credit and link to the original when you share them. When you share a recipe link, the people you send it to can save their own copy; stopping the share closes the link but does not remove copies already saved.

Recipes are a guide, not a guarantee

Imported and discovered recipes are read and converted automatically, and scaling and unit conversion round amounts. Mistakes are possible. Check quantities, temperatures, cooking times and allergens against the original, and use your own judgement about food safety.

Fair use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, no automated scraping or bulk account creation, no using invitations to send unwanted email, and nothing unlawful or harmful. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and may remove content that breaks these terms.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep My Saucepan running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own backup with the download on your account page. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may end the service or an account with reasonable notice where possible, and will give you the chance to download your cookbook first.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and email account holders about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
